How increased awareness can make a difference in your life

Awareness is the state or ability to perceive, to feel, or to be conscious of events, objects, thoughts, emotions, or sensory patterns. In this regard, it is a rich concept that has been variously defined and understood by different thinkers, ranging from philosophers to psychologists. The way I look at it: awareness is a heightened state of sensitivity to your environment, to the here-and-now and to yourself.

Awareness is an important tool for personal growth and development. By being aware of our thoughts, feelings, and actions, we can make conscious and informed choices that will lead to healthier outcomes. Awareness can also help you identify and manage areas of your life that you may be neglecting or ignoring, such as your physical and mental health, your relationships, and your career goals. And, most importantly, by being aware of your environment, you can also remind yourself that you're perfectly safe. This is important, because most of us spend most of our time in survival mode. We are constantly in our minds, worrying about the future. Our body reacts to those thoughts as if they are real, and elicits a stress response. By focusing more on the now-moment and doing things mindfully, you can shift out of the stress-state and actually experience and enjoy whatever it is you're doing.

Ultimately, awareness is an essential tool for living a meaningful and fulfilling life. It can help you to recognize your strengths, weaknesses, and areas of growth, and to make the most of your opportunities. By increasing your awareness, you can make more mindful decisions, better understand your triggers, choose your responses consciously, be more present and become better stewards of your life.

"Being in the here-and-now can be a true gift.

That's why it's called the present."

Raising awareness, shedding the shackles of the patterns, stuck emotions, limiting beliefs and traumas that bind us, is how Wellness in Mind aims to fulfill its (my) mission: to heal the world.

Love,

Kinga.
